Black&Blue Zebra Stripes

Finally something more recent! :D This was the last design I did in Finland... Inspiration is straight from HERE. ^^ This was also before I cut my nails shorter again. :P

Before sequins... Somehow it looks a lot more simple without them. ::D

First I polished my nails with one layer of some old Claire's polish which number I can't remember... But it's a cute, sheer pink with some shimmer in it. :) Then I sponged this very old blue polish on the tips, the polish is sooo old, I got it for free with some magazine years ago but it's still working! :DD The name has faded away though. :/ I did black stripes to the tips with black Kiss nail art -polish, and added tiny blue sequins for some more details. :) I really like how these turned out! ^^
You already know what happened to my sister's blog, and I decided to let her post her nail things here as guest blogger until she works out how to create new blog. :) So that's what's coming up, besides my own nail designs of course! ^^

Nimikin on kulunut jo pois. ^^
Tiedätte varmaan jo mitä siskoni blogille tapahtui... :/ Päätin antaa hänen bloggailla välillä kynsijuttujaan tänne, siihen asti että saa perustettua uuden blogin. :)

Something pink and pretty ;)

I saw THIS design in Tartofraises - nail art, and I just had to try it! There's also a very good video tutorial for this manicure, so go check it out! I love this design, even though it's not perfect compared to the original design... :'D
Here's some more pictures:

I sponged my favorite Claire's polish on the nails, I liked it already so I took a picture... ^^
Then I did the black ..things and added some white spots.
I planned to leave it like this, but then I decided that it needs the rhinestones!
Things I used: H&M Pink Mist, claire's pink polish, black and white Kiss nail art polishes.
And the complete manicure with the rhinestones!
I just love pink and black designs! :D Especially with bling. But hey, we were shopping at Dubai last weekend, and guess where we went!

It's Juicy Couture!!! *_* Even just the shop is so over cute! We were walking around Dubai Mall when I spotted a girl with huge pink shopping bag with a text "choose juicy" on it. I love Juicy Couture but I've never seen their shops irl... I've just adored all the cute stuff they have. So I went a little crazy when I spotted that shopping bag, because that meant that there's a Juicy Couture shop somewhere in Dubai Mall. Dubai Mall is HUGE, but eventually we found the shop. And ohh, my head almost exploded by all that super cuteness... xD Everything in that shop was so sweet and cute. The prices were also quite sweet... :S But I decided to buy something with my sister:

The text in the charm holder says: "For nice girls who like stuff".

Isn't it cute! ^3^ There was a table full of awesome jewellery, bracelets, necklaces and earrings. And there were these little... charms (or what are they called, I'm not sure) which you could collect into a bracelet, for example. They were the sweetest things ever! They even had the tiniest nail polish bottle I've ever seen! Of course it's just a jewellery, not a real polish bottle, but it was so detailed! There were all the details of a real polish bottle in it! I would've bought it, but we had to get the necklace first, because I couldn't use the charm alone. I'll go back next time we go there, and buy that little thing. >:)
I also bought these cute earrings from Accessorize, I have to share them here too:

Tiny fruits! Love them! xD
Okay. Now I have to take a break of shopping... :'D

Summer nails!

I made this design before taking the henna tattoos!

I love summer and sun. Since I'm now here in UAE, it's already summer for me...^^ I suppose it's still spring in Finland, I've heard that it's getting warmer and snow is gone? Anyway, I wanted to do something summery:

Pretty simple, but I wanted to try out my recent shoppings... :D I used the Simply Smash-ing! by OPI (the Serena Williams -polish) and my new konad plate m29. I love the flower patterns and especially that little pineapple, it's so cute! ^^

Simply Smash-ing! before stamping...
...and in direct sunlight.
I wasn't sure if that's green or golden? It looks more golden in the pictures, but irl it was more greenish. Well, I love the colour anyway!

Käytin näihin uutta OPIn lakkaani, Simply Smash-ing. Kuviot tein konadin laatalla m29. Aika yksinkertaiset, mutta tykkään! ^^

Polka Dots

Actually I have two different polka designs to show you! Here we go:

Why Dollar Green looks so grey?? It's really pastel green!
Polishes: H&M Dollar Green and Denim Dreams.
As I promised, something little different for a change. ;) I like the pastel colours, and dots are simple and cute design. :) I don't have a dotting tool, but I figured that this design would be easier to do with some tool so I decided to craft something like that...

Haha, it's far from perfect and looks extremely crappy, but it works! :'D I just poked a pin to rubber-headed pencil...
I did polka nails for couple friends too:

These are Lena's nails!
And the same design for another friend. :) The black polish is GOSH - Nero.
Lena had black nails already and she wanted pink dots. I used the neon pink Sinful Colors -polish, and I definitely like the pink/black combination! :) My friends were happy with their nails too. ^^

Pink Splash

I promised you some new nails today, so here we go! I did something bit more complicated this time, because my nails have been quite simple lately...

This pic is taken in direct sunshine, I love the holographic polishes... *_*
Things I used! :)
I like them. :) The Golden Rose holographic polishes are very beautiful, and though the holographic effect isn't very special, I was surprised by the quality of them! The polishes dried quite fast and were super glossy even without the top coat. They were also easy to put on, and made very sleek surface on my nails. And the polish stayed on very well without chipping, I had these nails for a week, still no cracks! Yey!
So I put 3 coats of holographic polishes first and then made the pink "splashes" with my neon pink Sinful Colors -polish. Then just added the tiny sequins and round rhinestones. I love the rhinestones, I think they're very cute! They look like pink water drops or bubbles or something... I'd love to do some kind of marine-themed manicure with blue-drop-rhinestones! :D
Then I did also my toe nails:

I saw this design in some nail blog, I just can't remember where! But the point is that this is not my own idea.
So I polished my nails with my white Rimmel polish and gefore the polish dried, I did that "lace" using dry-marble -technique. I think they turned out quite well. :)

My toes are quite crappy, I know... :P Winter makes my skin very dry! :(
That's it. :) Btw, I have a picture of my blingy-polish removal -operation...

LOL xD
Removing blingy polishes is painfully hard, but that foil-technique makes it much easier! :)
That's all this time! But I have to share two very random pics with you in the end...

Do I have too much free-time? xD
Then the same in Finnish:

Tämän tyylisiä tiivistyksiä on siis luvassa jatkossakin, toivottavasti tykkäätte! ^^

Prom nails!

Okay, the prom is over and since the abiturients (is that even a word in English? The translator said the correct word would be candidate for the matriculation examination... :D) are gone, we 2nd graders are the oldest in our high school now! Wohoo! xD That's what we were celebrating on thursday and especially yesterday! ;) Thursday we had the official prom, two shows for parents, and the Friday was our day, u know? ;) We did everything fun stuff at the school, like walking around in our dresses and we also kept one lesson for the 1st graders... Not a real lesson though, we made them do fun stuff like rap the national anthem and so on. xD It was really fun, everyone had great time. We also danced one show on Friday, for other students and teachers. :) And Friday night we had the after-party for all the 2nd graders and dancers, and that honestly was an awesome party! Everyone were having fun and dancing all night. I wish we had parties like that more often! :D
Okay that had nothing to do with nails, but I just wanted to share that with you! ^^ The 2nd graders prom is a  huge event in Finland, everyone has beautiful dresses and hair and make-up, and of course I had to do my nails! I wanted them to match my dress:

With my dress ;)

Quite simple, but I think they're pretty. :)
Hey I'd like to share a pic of my prom hair also:

I loved it! I had to sleep with that hair, so I had my hair like that for three days... :'D But can you believe me, it stayed like that the whole time! :D It was quite challenging to wash all the hair spray off. :P
That was all this time, I'm going to the 2nd graders cruise on Monday, so next I'll do party-nails for that! ;) Ah, I love this! ^^

Find the differences

I was shopping for prom shoes at Helsinki, and I also bought new crackle -polishes (and found perfect shoes, too!). I'd heard that Depend has now it's own crackle-collection, and I wanted to try that out. Here's what I bought:

Depend pink Crackle Effect and IsaDora black Graffiti -polishes. I haven't tried the pink one yet, but that black is gorgeus! Here's a manicure I did with that:

I used the green Claire's polish as the base.

But.... Guess what? I suppose that IsaDora has run out with their original crackle polish bottles, or how can you explain this:

They almost look like the same with the paper-sealing on, but when you take it away...

How many differences can you find?

Oh noooo! I want my collection to be coherent! D: Well, I could accept the differences between the bottles to that point, but look at this:

Even the brushes are different!!! That ordinary, wide brush is so handy when putting on the crackle polish, because you need only one stroke and there it is, you're ready. But with that ordinary, non-wide brush you need several strokes, and that's very troublesome especially when you have long nails, like I do. The polish starts to crack very quickly, and you can't really fix it after it starts to dry. It has to be pretty much perfect with one stroke... Agh, I'm so frustrated. Luckily the quality of the polish itself is flawless.

Normal, beautiful IsaDora bottle.
The weird, sturdy bottle I dislike. :(
They have just glued on the stickers with the right inci and other information...

Oh, how disappointed I am. :P But there are some good things, I have to say. Though it says on the bottle that it has as much polish as the ordinary bottle, I'm pretty convinced that there's more polish in that bigger bottle. And it's still the same price... ;) And yeah, the crackles still look great on nails, no matter what the bottle looks like! :)

Oh, I almost forgot! I polished my friends' nails too!

I used the pink Sinful Colors -polish as the base and black crackle on the top. I did these for Lena.

Pink gradient and konad on top.
And hey, remember to vote, everyone! You have only 4 days left.... ;)
