Blue mani w/ Rhinestones

Hello everyone!
I had my nails done at Tips & Toes few weeks ago and just realized that I never posted them! I didn't actually take a photo of them straight after, but luckily the polish lasted for a couple weeks without chipping so I took pictures after I cut my nails round and decorated them with rhinestones:

See what I mean? These photos are taken after a week and the polish still looks flawless! That's why I love to have my nails done by a professional, somehow they just make the polish last longer. :D I also love the colour, unfortunately I forgot to check the name of the polish, but the brand is Tito.

Off the topic: has anyone else been having problems with their blogger account? I can't see my blog list after I sign in, and also blogger struggles to save my drafts... Which is why I had to write this post twice. :P Also some anonymous is spamming my blog with random comments. This is very annoying, since I get several comments a day, all about some random topics that don't even relate to my blog in any way, and some are even copy-pasted in different posts... seriously?? =_=
Anyway, hopefully I get rid of the problems soon, that's all this time! ^^

Black&Blue Zebra Stripes

Finally something more recent! :D This was the last design I did in Finland... Inspiration is straight from HERE. ^^ This was also before I cut my nails shorter again. :P

Before sequins... Somehow it looks a lot more simple without them. ::D

First I polished my nails with one layer of some old Claire's polish which number I can't remember... But it's a cute, sheer pink with some shimmer in it. :) Then I sponged this very old blue polish on the tips, the polish is sooo old, I got it for free with some magazine years ago but it's still working! :DD The name has faded away though. :/ I did black stripes to the tips with black Kiss nail art -polish, and added tiny blue sequins for some more details. :) I really like how these turned out! ^^
You already know what happened to my sister's blog, and I decided to let her post her nail things here as guest blogger until she works out how to create new blog. :) So that's what's coming up, besides my own nail designs of course! ^^

Nimikin on kulunut jo pois. ^^
Tiedätte varmaan jo mitä siskoni blogille tapahtui... :/ Päätin antaa hänen bloggailla välillä kynsijuttujaan tänne, siihen asti että saa perustettua uuden blogin. :)

London / New York?

I've seen this kinds of designs a lot, but I like the idea so much I wanted to do my version of it. And I like it on my nails! ^^ This time I remembered to take pictures while making the design, so here's a little step-by-step tutorial for these flag-nails:

First I polished every other nail with white polish and every other with blue polish. Pictures and names of the polishes are in the end of this mini-tutorial. :)
Then I polished the tips of the white nails with the same blue I used to the whole blue nails...
I thought that it'd be better to create white base for the red first, so the red would come out brighter.
While waiting for the white crosses to dry, I did the red stripes of the USA flag.
Then the red for the England flag...
...and finally little stars for the USA flag. I  used a pin as a tiny dotting tool to make the stars small enough.
Here are the products I used: blue Claire's polish, Rimmel - London Clouds, white nail art polish by Kiss and red nail art polish by Winmax.
With top coat, in sunlight!
What do you think? Do you like this kinds of designs? I've always tought that "flag nails" look cool, I don't know what it is that fascinates me about them, maybe it's the colors. Or the fact that I've always wanted to go to New York or London... ;)
I'm really glad I made the stars properly, at first I was planning to be lazy and do just white dots or something, but then I decided spots don't look nearly as good as tiny stars! ^^ The stars were harder to do, but definitey worth it!
I'm also happy that finally my right hand nails look as good as left hand! Of course the nails are still shorter, but I even made the tiny stars properly! Usually my right hand doesn't look as good as left, because my left hand is very shaky when it comes to nail polishing... :'D I've been trying to work on that, and finally it's starting to look better. Unfortunately I don't have picture of them, but I hope you believe me! xD
Now some information about what's coming up: Swatches! I know it's a little boring, but I'll show you couple of my new polishes in action. ;) (the pink Sinful colors polish and couple of OPI polishes) Don't worry, my head is full of new nail designs I want to create, it's just that I'm a little slow. :'D Stay tuned! ^^
Check out Beyonce's nails at the diner! ;)

Tulossa: Swatcheja uusista lakkahankinnoista! On minulla kiinnostavampiakin ideoita, pää tuntuu olevan kerrankin täynnä uusia kynsi-ideoita joita haluaisin kokeilla, mutta aika ei tunnu riittävän... :'D No, seurailkaa, toteuttelen niitä parhaani mukaan! ^^

Glittery lace nails and other stuff

This manicure was pretty hard to photograph... The baby blue lace pattern didn't really show up in pics, but you can tell that it's there, right? :'D

The first picture is taken today. It's now over two weeks since I took the henna tattoos, and as you can see, it's almost faded away. :< It lasted quite long, though! In my feet he tattoo hasn't faded that much. Couple days ago it was still like new... :D Well, here are my nails about week ago:

There the tattoo is about 1 week old, and it starts to fade from the finger tips.
I used two coats of H&M Pink Mist first, then I did white gradient to the tips by sponging Rimmel - London Clouds. Then I stamped the baby blue lace pattern with konads, I used the plate m71. Finally I polished three coats of OPI - Last Friday Night to the tips (over the white polish).

Here's the whole henna tattoo after a week.
I didn't like these nails that much at first, because they're not exactly what I had planned, but now I've had this design on my nails for a week and I have to say that I really like it! :D It was also nice to have something blue on my nails, because yesterday...

FINLAND WON THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF ICE HOCKEY!

...and that was the first time since 1995, when we won last time. 16 years ago... :P That was very sweet, because Sweden had won so many times and they were confident that they would win this year too, but we kicked their ass 1-6! xD I'm not a big fan of ice hockey, but hey, it's the world championship we're talking about. ;)
Besides, it's nice to win something after our Eurovision fail... xD Haha, everyone in Finland seemed to be so sure that we would win, but actually we were almost last! Well, I didn't really think the song would be good enough to actually win the whole thing, but... 21st? Fail! :'D Here's the top three:

1. Azerbaijan - Running scared

2. Italy - Follia D'Amore (Madness of love)

3. Sweden - Popular

What do you think? If you watched the Eurovisions, do think that the right songs made it to the top? I think the winner song was pretty good, although it was a little when you heard it many times. I didn't have any huge favorites, but I liked the England's song and Ireland was funny. ^^

Alle laitoin kaksi kerrosta H&Mn Pink Mistiä, ja töpöttelin kärkiin Rimmelin London Cloudsia. Sitten leimasin konadeilla (laatta m71) vaaleansiniset pitsikuviot kynsien tyveen. Kärkiin laitoin vielä kolme kerrosta OPIn Last Friday Nightia.
Oliko lemppareita? ;)

 Love the song! <3

Arabic swirls?

Inspiration for these nails is directly stolen from Tartofraises, the design was so beautiful that I just had to recreate it on my own nails... ^^´

I know it doesn't look nearly as gorgeus as the original design, but I like it anyway. :) I did purple tip with Sinful Colors Daddy's girl and added some GOSH - Rainbow on the top. Then I did the swirls with Kiss white nail art-polish and added Kiss silver nail art-polish in the middle of the white swirls. Here's a pic of the polishes I used:

H&M Pink Mist, Sinful Colors Daddy's girl, GOSH Rainbow and Kiss nail art-polishes.
Rainbow is so gorgeus on the nails! *_*
What do you think? It was quite hard to capture all the colors to the photographs (especially Rainbow was making me crazy... ;)) but I hope you get the picture.
And hey, guess what! Look who's back:

Cake - earrings!
Cheeseburger - ring! x)
FIMOS! :D I haven't done those for a while, but last weekend my friend came here and we decided to do some crafts. Ah, I didn't even remember anymore how nice fimo-clay is! :')

I could eat them. ;)
I also polished her nails:

Baby nails! ;) I used H&M blue my mind and black IsaDora graffiti-polish.
She liked them. :) We had fun, but yeah we should see more often!! Couple times a year isn't enough, right?
That's it this time, the frightening exam week and some big changes are ahead (more about those later), but I hope I'll be able to blog as often as I'd like to. At least I have to do my traditional good luck nails... :'D

Niistä tuli aika söpöjä, en enää edes muistanut miten kiva fimomassalla on leikkiä... :D
Lakkasin myös kaverini kynnet. Värilakkana on H&M:n Blue my mind, ja sen päälle laitoin IsaDoran mustaa graffitilakkaa. :)
Koeviikko lähestyy uhkaavasti, mutta aion silti postailla entiseen tahtiin. Pitää ainakin tehdä perinteiset onnenkynnet... :'D

Polka Dots

Actually I have two different polka designs to show you! Here we go:

Why Dollar Green looks so grey?? It's really pastel green!
Polishes: H&M Dollar Green and Denim Dreams.
As I promised, something little different for a change. ;) I like the pastel colours, and dots are simple and cute design. :) I don't have a dotting tool, but I figured that this design would be easier to do with some tool so I decided to craft something like that...

Haha, it's far from perfect and looks extremely crappy, but it works! :'D I just poked a pin to rubber-headed pencil...
I did polka nails for couple friends too:

These are Lena's nails!
And the same design for another friend. :) The black polish is GOSH - Nero.
Lena had black nails already and she wanted pink dots. I used the neon pink Sinful Colors -polish, and I definitely like the pink/black combination! :) My friends were happy with their nails too. ^^

New look

I shortened my nails again! And this time I shaped them round! I've had "square nails" for a veeery long time, so this new look takes a while to get used to... o_o
Wanna know what made me cut them? LOOK:

I'm very sorry, I kinda lost it and cut them roughly with nail-scissors... ^^' And I forgot to file them before taking the pics.
Uuh look at those curves... :P Haha, my nails just naturally curl to C-shape, no matter what I do! I loved my square-nails, but disliked that C. :( If I had gel nails or something, they probably wouldn't curl that much, but gel nails don't quite fit to my budjet. :'D So I thought that maybe I should try round nails. They're a bit better now, I think...
Well, my nails feel very small and pathetic now, u know? So I thought that a cute pink polish would look pretty on them. ^^

I just love that shimmery Claire's polish!
Then I decided to add some Konad-cupcakes! :9
And things I used: Konad-plate m14, black Konad special polish and pink Claire's polish.
They're cute, I like them. ^^ And I think I'm going to get used to this new nail style.

I also did Karzu's nails! She was going to a friend's birthday-party, so I used bling:

But hey! My prom is tomorrow (in Finland we have prom for second grade students in high school, but it's almost the same than prom in America, I think.), and I've been super busy lately! I've done my prom-nails already, but you'll have to wait for them a little moment because tomorrow and friday I'll be dancing and celebrating! ;) I've tried out my make-up, I have my dress and nails ready, I've got my shoes and hairdresser for tomorrow, so everything is alright! I'm sooo excited! :D I hope everything is going to be alright and I won't stumble with my dress... ^^
See you soon! :)

Contest nails

Okay, apparently it is allowed to publish the contest nails before the winner is released... My mistake, I´m sorry you had to wait this long! There were two themes in the competition, Coloursplash and Black on white. I did both of them.
First the Black on white -manicure:

I used my white Rimmel polish, London clouds, as the base and then I put on some lace stickers. The L O V E -letters are made with black rhinestones, I glued them on one by one. There´s a little rose in the middle of O... :) The Sweet Love -text on my thumb is made with black nail art polish, free-hand.
Then the Coloursplash:

I used five different polishes, the green Claire´s -polish, Sinful Colors Fusion neon, H&M Blue My Mind, Models Own Lemon Merinque and OPI atomic orange. Then I added the tiny sequins one by one, and then glued on the colorful rhinestones (also one by one).
So what do you think? :) I put so much time and effort to both of them, I really hope everyone likes them! ^^ These aren´t the same pictures I sent to the competition, I did little collages for that. ;)
